San Juan River fishing started to get more technical last week. This week will be cold. Maybe some snow, definitely some wind.  Make sure to change your weight before changing your fly. Take the time to clean the debris from your hooks regularly. There is heavy debris in the water right now. Layer properly for the cold, our mornings are cold. The flow will remain low around 344 for the duration of the week. The water is mostly clear with some minor color in some slower spots.  The wading is great this week. The San Juan River is fishing good, use a tan or gray pupa under an annelid to start in the morning. If you fish up by the dam, smaller the better, size 26 or 28 black midges.
