San Juan River Fishing Report & News
From Our Guides: The Weekly San Juan River Fishing Report Video for September 28th, 2024
Here’s the official Weekly San Juan River Fly Fishing Report from Fisheads San Juan River Lodge, as reported by Stephen Souva, Fly Fishing Guide:
The waters are down to 600 cfs, and fishing is good! Midge hatches are in full effect, with gray, olive, and chocolate being our go-to colors, Big Mac pupa in sizes 22 and 24 is still a favorite fly for our guides. The lower river is fishing well and offers a nice change from the bustling quality waters during these busy weeks ahead. There’s some beatis activity in the afternoons in the faster water; gray and chocolate in sizes 22 and 24, such as RS2s, have been working well for us. We hope to see you out here!
