From Our Guides: The Weekly San Juan River Fishing Report Video for August 7th, 2024

Here’s the official Weekly San Juan River Fly Fishing Report from Fisheads San Juan River Lodge, as reported by Stephen Souva, Fly Fishing Guide:

Fishing is great! Flows have fluctuated throughout the last couple of weeks; the current flow is at 1200 cfs. It’s important at these flows for wade fishermen to be careful. Similar to last week, the new flows bring new river conditions, so we’re still checking our flies and making sure they’re clean. Flies this week are similar to last week. We are still having luck with red larvae in sizes 16, 18, and 20, as well as other patterns such as leeches and eggs. Midges in red, brown, and gray are also effective. We hope to see you out there!
