From Our Guides: The Weekly San Juan River Fishing Report Video for August 25th, 2024

Here’s the official Weekly San Juan River Fly Fishing Report from Fisheads San Juan River Lodge, as reported by Stephen Souva, Fly Fishing Guide:

Fishing has been good! The flow of the river is at 600 cfs with clear water conditions. In the morning, we are fishing deep and then transitioning to lighter weights and fishing shallow. Similar to last week, we have been using midge patterns for the majority of the day in red, olive, chocolate, black, and gray, sticking to sizes 22 and 24. During cloudy afternoons, you may have luck with baetis patterns such as those we used last week. We hope to see you out there!
