From Our Guides: The Weekly San Juan River Fishing Report Video for July 24th, 2024

Here’s the official Weekly San Juan River Fly Fishing Report from Fisheads San Juan River Lodge, as reported by John Ellis, Fly Fishing Guide: Flows are at 700 cfs, and fishing has been great. There was a sudden spike in water flows caused by a blowout at Simon point, stirring up some sediment below the blow out location. However, fishing is still possible in these areas, although it is slightly “challenging” at the moment. Fishing above the blowout location has been good. Similar to last week, red annelids have been working well, along with flies in olive and chocolate in sizes 22 and 24. Baetis activity is still minimal at this time. We hope to see you out there!
