San Juan River Fishing Report & News
From Our Guides: The Weekly San Juan River Fishing Report Video for June 15th, 2024
The official June 15th Weekly San Juan River Fly Fishing Report from the guides of Fisheads San Juan River Lodge. Report given by John Ellis, Fly Fishing Guide. Fishing continues to be good. We’ve been fishing the lower river a lot more and seeing a good bit of dry fly action there. On the quality waters, size 22 and 24 midge patterns in brown, black, olive, red, and cream continue to work well, especially size 22 and 24 Big Macs and Mono Midges. In the afternoon, we’re still seeing subsurface Baetis activity and have been fishing with gray and chocolate emergers. Just like last week, we are still fishing CDC RS2s and Fluff Baetis in size 22. Dry fly fishing on the quality waters is also picking up. We’re just a few weeks out from hopper and ant season. We hope to see you out here!
