For all of you that haven’t had the opportunity to fish the lower San Juan River, even though it is not a section you can wade on your own, boat required;  You might want to consider trying it sometime.  After a high water flow the fishing can be really awesome through that stretch.

The river is at 1,040 cfs and we don’t know how long the water will be at this level.  Worms and larva are working well in the morning and midges in the afternoons.  Some are having success on leeches and streamers.
