San Juan River Fishing Report & News
Slowly but surely the river is on the mend. The water clarity is improving but from a distance, it still is pretty murky. Fortunately, the river is getting more green, our normal spring color, than brown. The guides are reporting good fishing and everyone is catching fish.
There are good hatches in the afternoon; blue wing olive in midday and midges in the afternoon. Bunny leeches in black or white and flashy larva in pink orange or red are still working as well as egg patterns. Pheasant tails and flashy midge patterns are working also.
