Darker colored midge patterns have been doing better than the light colors, i.e. olive, chocolate and rusty brown, red, etc.
The Ant Fall occurred 6/17/18 and the fish were eating like crazy. Dry fly fishing has been getting better, ant patterns have been occasionally catching fish before the ant fall happened, smaller sizes would do best. Caddis have begun to hatch on the Lower River.
Keep an eye out on the water to look for what is rising and floating around!
